Teaching children to think

Ornicar Team

Born from the ambition to teach children to think, the Ornicar team set out to meet with stakeholders who share its concerns. It quickly became clear : so many valuable initiatives exist, but the system itself remains stubbornly inert.

Little by little, the idea of a project took shape and was named Ornicar, a nod to coordinating conjunctions. After all, isn't logic the discipline that defines the conditions for a rigorous use of the word “therefore”? Ornicar brings people together around a shared ambition: to teach children to think. A team of creative thinkers, philosophers, teachers, and education professionals has united to inject new momentum into this essential cause.

In this context, Luc de Brabandere will take part in the next edition of Out Of The Books (October 2, 2025), accompanied by Hélène Caels, professor of philosophy and president of the Association of Philosophy and Citizenship Teachers
